Cruise - Samana Dominican Republic.
Mom decided that she didn't want to ride a horse and walk down a steep trail, so she decided to go whale watching.  I wanted to do the island tour, and horseback ride to the El Limon waterfall.  All CJ had to hear was horse back ride, and you can guess which tour he picked.  Both tours were through with Terry, and we highly recommend.

They use the ship's lifeboats for tenders.

Countryside on the way to El Limon.
Port security isn't quite as strict at Samana.  He danced with the band for a good 15 minutes.

Always a comedian.
CJ had been collecting coconuts while we were waiting for our excursion.  This guy stopped and opened one for him to try the milk.

The Dominican ice cream man.

CJ's favorite thing on the trip was the horse back riding.  He loved being on his own horse.

Quite steep in case you can't tell.

The horseback ride ended at the El Limon waterfall.  Could have spent another couple of hours there.
Underneath the falls.

They talked about mountain springs feeding the falls.  I thought, mountain springs in the Dominican Republic?  How cold could it be?  Getting into the water took your breath away.

At the end of the day, we had a typical Dominican buffet.
