We did an excursion that took us across the channel to Virgin Gorda. "The Baths" is the thing to do there. It is a collection of huge granite boulders that are left over from a volcanic eruption. It was great, there were only 5 of us on the boat. Boats are not allowed to dock, so when we got close, we set anchor and our captain morphed into our snorkel/tour guide. We jumped out of the back of the boat, snorkeled around the reef for awhile, then played on the island for awhile. We took a tour through the boulders, then went to the beach on the other side. We followed this turtle for a bit. After awhile, we snorkeled back to the boat. Later we stopped at Cooper island. There was some pretty good snorkeling right off of the beach. I would love to go back again. There are so many neat things to see and do there. CJ learned to snorkel in St Thomas and Antigua, but Tortola is where he really got into it.
