Banff and Lake Louise:
We stayed two nights in Banff.   CJ and me took a canoe out on Lake Louise.  We ended up being there on Canada day.  We took the two Gondola rides, one at Lake Louise, and the other Banff.  At the top of the Banff Gondola, we took a walk along the boardwalk up to the top.  The clouds were moving very fast, and it looked like rain was not very far away.  We started back down, and were soon caught in a driving snow storm.  We saw a few more animals around Banff.  The baby Mountain Goat was really cute.  We headed out of Banff NP on the way through Kootenay NP.  We stopped to take a hike to see some Paint pots.  There was a huge Grizzly Bear guarding the trail.  He didn't seem like he was going to be moving along, so we gave up on the idea.  We then headed back through BC on the way back to the US towards Spokane.  All in all a very active fun vacation.

We entered Canada South of Calgary.  We visited the site of the 1988 Winter Olympics.  You can Zip Line off of the Long Jump ramp.  CJ wanted to do it in the worst way, but you have to be 70 pounds.  I was trying to think of a way to put 20 pounds of weight in his pants.  He was not at all happy that I did it without him, but I may never be in Calgary again, so didn't want to pass up the opportunity.
We stayed in a cabin outside of Johnson Canyon for two nights.  We took a drive toward Jasper and took a ride up to the Columbia Ice Fields.  It rained, sleeted, hailed, and snowed on us while we were there, but we even had a few minutes of sun.  We saw a lot of wildlife along the way.
