Christmas 2006 - I don't think CJ received enough presents. It seemed like a good idea recommending Legos, Lincoln Logs etc. Since Christmas, we have approximately 1000 pieces to pick up each night. Each container has to be completely emptied before he starts playing.
Pic #1 - Admiring his work. He placed all of the pieces with a lot of instruction. I held it together to keep him from destroying it.
Pic #2 - Lego time.
Pic #3 -Thomas the Train.
Pic #4 - More than one way to have fun with Lincoln Logs
Pic #5 - Checking out the Christmas stocking at Grandma's
Pic #6 - Amazingly, nothing got broken in the Christmas village.
Pic #7 - He now has the perfect kitty cat - No litter box or vet bills.
Pic #8 - The box was as much fun as the toys.
Pic #9 - Kind of hard to explain this toy, but he really liked it.

CJ loved the train. I would guess we made at least 10 trips around the lake.
Pic #3 - CJ was holding his own puppet show.
Pic #4 -Back in the saddle.
Pic #5 - Last year seeing Santa wasn't a problem. This year he didn't want any part of it. This was the second attempt.

Winter fun.
Pic #1,2,3 - fun with Sassy
Pic #4 - Of course he has to help break up the ice after the freezing rain and snow.
Pic #5 - He loves his boots. He thinks he is Superman when he has them on. And believe me - he tells you over and over.
Pic #6, 7 - At the town Christmas tree lighting. The wolf hat that he got in August seems like a lot better idea now.
Pic #8 - Helping decorate the Christmas tree.

Trip to the Christmas tree farm

Another trip to Crown Center to go Ice skating.
CJ lucked out and there were a bunch of mascots there. He loves his mascots. The hardest part is making him wait his turn.
We finally found a thing that he didn't jump into full blast - ice skating. We will try again in late winter, or next year. He could stand up, but he didn't like the cold ice when he fell down.

We went to Crown Center and ate at Fritz's last weekend.

Pic #1 - toys setup for Christmas. If it has a wheel, he has to try and drive it.
Pic #2 - Still wearing the engineer's hat from Fritz's
Pic #3 - Where did that train go??
Pic #4 - In front of the Crown Center Christmas tree.

Gotcha day 1 year later - We went to the T-REX restaurant. D0 you think that he liked the dinosaurs??

1 Year ago today was Gotcha day. Actually the 15th.
Pics 1 & 3 were his last minutes in the orphanage. Pic #2 was at the hotel. It was his first taste of freedom other than the 30 minute cab ride.

More fall fun.
Pic #1 -Notice the snow boots. CJ is still fascinated by shoes. He found the Winnie the Poo snow boots down in the basement. He proceeded to wear them most of the weekend.
Pic #2, 5, & 6. The first attempt at flying a kite. It was a good day for pictures, but not enough wind to keep the kite in the air. We went again this weekend, and I thought that CJ was going up with the kite. The kite is 5 feet in width. I will give him credit, he did hang on - even as he was being dragged across the grass. He decided that it was more fun to throw the kite in the air after it would crash.
Pic #4 - The monkey at work. We just spot him, he does all of the climbing on his own.
